Hi,
Welcome to my blog. Early on in my career as a congregational rabbi I started sending out a weekly post called the Monday Morning Meditation. I am no longer a pulpit rabbi but I still send these quotes out to people all over the world.
So a little about me. I left pulpit work after 12 years because I found that the four walls of the synagogue were too confining, literally and figuratively. To quote John Muir, “[T]here are no harsh, dividing lines in nature. Glaciers blend with the sky and the snow blends with the thin invisible breath of the sky. So there are no stiff , frigid, stony partition walls betwixt us and heaven”. Today I spend my time as wilderness and spiritual guide.
As you might expect from the name, I typically send these out early Monday morning. In case you are wondering, I pull the passages from a wide range of sources, but mostly from what I’m reading. In general these are not intended to relate to any specific event going on in my life or the world. If they do it is almost for sure by accident or because the passage has a universal relevance.
By the way, this blog is also a way for me to draw your attention to my wilderness and spiritual guiding business called Burning Bush Adventures. Click on the picture of me to the right and it will take you to the site. Alternatively you can cut and paste in this address: http://www.burningbushadventures.com. If you like the Monday Morning Meditations check out the tab on my website for Wilderness Wisdom. These are quotes about our relationship with the earth.
I hope you enjoy these postings and think about joining me on a BBA trip!
